Important Information
Please read the Policies and Procedures tab. The documents contain vital information regarding maximum number of entries per school, audition day procedures, and requirements. You won't want to miss the Fall Meeting! We'll cover pertinent information and provide a sight-singing adjudication training session. Please contact the chair if you have any questions.

Eligibility
Auditions are open to students in grades 9-12. Since the ECKMEA High School Choirs and the ECKMEA Middle Level Choir include 9th graders, it is up to the director's professional discretion to decide which of these opportunities is best for his/her 9th graders as individuals. 9th grade students are allowed to register/participate in only one ECKMEA District Honor Choir, either High School or Middle Level. Any student auditioning or submitted for more than one group will be disqualified from participation in either group at the district level.

Registration
Late choir entries are accepted by the ECKMEA District & State KMEA according to the posted schedule. Register audition entries in the KMEA Members site. Registration deadlines (all times 11:59:59 PM CST except on audition day).

Deadlines and Late Fees
ECKMEA members are responsible for using the ECKMEA invoice generator to create an invoice for payment. Fees must be received on or before the date of Live Auditions. Late entries will incur late fees for all ECKMEA High School Honor Groups and State Choir Audition Registrations. All entries must be submitted using the appropriate registration website. A late entry fee of $25.00 will be charged for ECKMEA High School Honor Ensemble audition entries received two-weeks after the deadline. A late entry fee of $50.00 will be charged for ECKMEA High School Honor Ensemble audition entries received by 11:59:59 PM the night before auditions. In addition, an on-site registration fee of $100.00 will be charged to register students for High School Honor Ensemble auditions the day of auditions.
